Chuck sat on a bench, frown settling softly over his features as he watched his two friends across the courtyard. He figured neither had seen him, no that wasn't right, he figured Blair hadn't seen him. Nate on the other hand hand glanced at him briefly with an almost challenging look before he'd turned back to the girl in front of him. Something his friend said must have been funny because it sent Blair into a fit of giggles that set her soft curls bouncing around her face and just made Chuck feel even more prickly than normal.

"What are you watching?" A brunette asked as she curled up on the bench next to him, her tone suggesting without even having to look that she knew.

"Go away, Georgina." He didn't even glance at her as he sunk further into sulking, not really able to take his eyes off the pair.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see her turn her head and lower the sunglasses her mother had brought back from Paris for her, she hadn't taken them off since she'd gotten them really, and look in the direction he was watching. Nate chose that moment to lean forward and kiss Blair softly, something that pulled a blush to her cheeks as she smiled at him after. "All prickles and no backbone, Bass, that's why Nate got her first kiss and not you."

Chuck's head turned, lightening fast to glare at Georgina. The comment that Blair had kissed him three days ago, that he, Charles Bartholomew Bass, had gotten her first kiss was on the tip of his tongue; it never made it out of his mouth though because he'd promised Blair he wouldn't say anything. If he had known that this was the reason, so she could chose Nate over him he might not have made that promise but now that he had he wouldn't break it. Which meant the only thing that came out of his mouth was a darker, almost snarled, "Go. Away."

Georgina shook her hair, fluffing it slightly like she was just shaking off his command and his anger. "You know, sitting here wishing she was with you isn't going to do anything. She's made her choice and you shouldn't wallow in the misery of it."

He shrugged his shoulders, losing some of the anger and going back to just being the sulking ten year old he was. "I don't want anyone else..." It's a big admittance, especially coming from someone who's only ten.

"But you can have anyone else, Chuck." Georgina glanced over at the pair, noticing Blair's head turning to see what Nate was doing, who he might be watching. It's then, when she knows Blair and Nate are both watching that she leans over and kisses him, partly to prove her point about him having anyone but mostly because she knows it will make Blair prickly.

Chuck misses the fall of Blair's face when she spots them, too busy being shocked that Georgina is kissing him. It's a shame really, that Blair takes Nate's hand and runs from the courtyard, not wanting to see more, because she misses the way Chuck pushes Georgina off him with a growled statement that he doesn't want anyone else. He may not have asked for it, he may not have been able to stop it, but the damage thanks to Georgina is done.

For reasons he doesn't know, because he didn't know she was watching, Blair becomes just a little colder to him as she solidifies her choice of Nate over him. The coldness from his then best friend just does exactly the opposite of what she wants too, it sends him strait into Georgina's waiting grasp and to a spiral he won't really pull out of for the next seven years.
