Liz laughed as her niece wiggled excitedly in her lap, bright blue eyes on the mound of presents under the Christmas tree. She grinned at Jason who was keeping hold of an equally excited Ian. How they'd all ended up at Anita's house for presents and celebrating Christmas morning, Liz wasn't sure, but a good portion of the pard, some wolves, Moon, and Rae were all here so she didn't really question it either.

Everyone was settled around the room, waiting to actually open presents. Early wasn't normally a word in people's vocabulary, which was probably why it was after noon. They were waiting on Rae, Nathaniel, and Moon who had disappeared into the kitchen to grab some food for people. What was a party without food, right? And thankfully the job was just getting it from the kitchen. Nathaniel had done all the cooking the night before.

Amy escaped Liz's lap and made a mad dash for the present mound. She actually made it all the way to a bright pink box with a silver bow before being scooped up by Richard. "That's not for you, silly goose," he said as he tossed her gently into the air, catching her as she squealed with laughter. Everyone had always known he was fairly good with kids, he taught after all, but he had an ease around Ian and Amy that was uncanny.

Anita came up with a smile beside Richard, tickling Amy's stomach, making her laugh louder and kick her legs happily while Richard kept hold of her.

It was about then that Moon and Rae came into the room carrying large trays of food. Nathaniel trailing behind just a little, something hidden in his hands. He grinned when Rae turned to him and said, "They'd make some great parents."

Nathaniel chuckled, nodding, "Better preserve the image so they can't argue that fact later." Before the words could really register with Anita or Richard, both playing with Amy, the camera flashed.
