Her hair seemed darker, but she knew it was only because the curls were wet from the shower. It was the same color it had always been, possibly the only part of her that hadn't really changed. Her skin was a little more tan because she'd been spending more time in the sun recently. The hazel eyes looking back held shadows they hadn't originally possessed. Pain, loss, hate, love, life...and leopard. Sometimes she wondered if there was anything left of the person she was before. If she really knew who this woman looking back at her was.
"You alright, pussycat?"
Liz blinked as the question sank in and an arm wrapped around her waist. She hadn't actually realized she'd been starring at herself in the mirror. "Yea," she murmured softly, "Just...felt a little lost for a moment." Her body relaxed back against his chest, eyes closing in the effort to push those thoughts away, letting the feel of a body and the scents around her pull her back to the now. It wasn't that she regretted being the person she was. She loved who she was, who she had as family and friends now. But sometimes she realized it was so far from who she originally thought she'd be.
Her eyes stayed closed as her hair was brushed away from her bare shoulder and teeth nipped, pleasantly sharp, along her skin to her throat. The action pulled a small shiver down her spine and a soft content purr. "Haven't quite stopped yet."
She opened her eyes at the words, shadowed hazel meeting knowing, molten silver in the mirror. "You're cheating," her lips quirked in a soft smile, not minding that he hears her thoughts. She rarely minds when any of them do it. Nails play, sharp and teasing, along the arm wrapped around her before she took his hand and turned with her inhuman grace and speed so that she was backing out the door and tugging him with her. "Will. Takes time," her backwards walk turned subtly, more fluid and predatory, "and sometimes a distraction or two."
Ruin chuckled as he followed her onto the bed, "Well it's a good thing we have plenty of both then."
